Our Services

Theraputic Process:

Therapy session will begin with a brief discussion on privacy and confidentiality and the role of a therapist and client in therapy. Here we will explore in detail some biological, psychological, and social aspects of your life. This will allow me, as your therapist, to get to  know you, your values and aspirations/goals for therapy and in life

Our focus will then shift to explore family dynamics and the early part of life. I believe that our current challenges may very well be connected to events from the past. Therefore, it is critical to explore beyond what’s happening in the present. This will further enable us to identify the change that needs to take place to improve our current situation.

Awareness is a key element to growth. Through awareness, we will work through acceptance and commit to positive change to meet our desire goals and outcomes.

FAQs

  • Prior to the first session, please be sure to submit all required documents as sent by your therapist. This will allow them to review for completion as well as the information shared to support the client’s challenges.

  • The first session will include a comprehensive approach to identify and understand the interplay of biological, psychological and social factors that may contribute to one’s overall mental wellness, using the biopsychosocial model. The first session will be scheduled for 90 minutes to thoroughly explore these areas and begin to identify preliminary goals to possibly accomplish in therapy.

  • The number of sessions varies for each client based on their challenges and needs. Typically, determining the total number of sessions can deter from one’s focus on the goals identified and further lead to rushing through the process. Therapy is a process, and it takes time to go through the multiple layers of our life and experiences to bring about an overall positive change.
